Twenty
two delegates arrived from all around the world for the first of the Overseas
Division,s Management meetings. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, delegates
were met at the JIA and transferred to The Grace Hotel in Rosebank, for
a welcome cocktail party, and overnight.
The second day was spent on a site visit at Leonard Dingler’s factory,
after which delegates returned to The Grace for a conference. The day
ended with a visit to a local Italian restaurant, where a superb meal
was enjoyed by all.
The
third day began with an early transfer to the JIA, for a domestic flight
to Hoedspruit Airport. There delegates were met and transferred to Kapama
Private Game Lodge, situated close to the airport. The luxury and excellent
service, accompanied by superb cuisine, created a wonderful first time
visit to Africa for many participants. Game drives proved to be most exciting,
with excellent game spotting and the occasional getting stuck in the mud,
due to the heavy rains experienced just before the visit.
After
2 days of relaxing, the group was transferred by luxury coach to Greenway
Woods at White River, for a 2 day management workshop. All delegates left
with a great impression on South Africa, vowing to return at the first
opportunity! |
